On my journey with Launch You, I have found new inspiration and vitality. Where I once believed that I am locked into a 9-5 job where I will be marginalized by new technology, a whole new world of online-entrepreneur has opened many opportunities.

For 30 years now I have been slogging away in a corporate 9-5 job. In this time, I have gained skills in support of my career and the company objectives. I would with this increasing skill negotiate more of my time for more of the company’s money. Very often however I would need to give the time for months on end before I could ‘claim’ more money. More than often this return did not meet my expectation, but true to the company’s expectation I was back for some more of the same.

None the less, I have gained some valuable life, people, business, process, analytical, systems, practical and sometimes theoretical knowledge. According to my evaluation however, most of these which will be replaced by artificial intelligence, machine learning and bots before I can retire as planned. And in this case, changing job will not result in growth or even better retirement results.

I evaluated my situation and my future and as it has happened, as sometimes in my life before, a new door opened. A door where my skills can be traded resulting in more time for me and more money for me. Best of all, the future has a whole new shine and retirement is likely to come before my company’s retirement age!

So here I am, putting my skills (gained in my personal and corporate life), knowledge (again, gained in my personal and corporate life) into action!
